Poof & Cloudy

Poof & Cloudy

Inside a child’s mind lived a little thing named Poof.

Poof wasn’t sure what he was.

“Am I a thought?” he wondered. “A feeling?”

When he felt alone, it showered a little.

Poof loved to explore.

That’s how he met Cloudy.

She was soft, like a cotton ball.

Cloudy said, “I like seeing what happens.”

They found glowing colors, wiggly shapes, sparkly bubbles.

But one day, Cloudy started to fade.

And then she was gone.

Poof looked everywhere.

“Where did you go?”

He got lost.

“What if Cloudy got the hiccups?”

“What if she found a planet made of socks?”

“What if I’m the only one who can’t see her?”

He kept going anyway.

Until he found her near a rainbow.

“Cloudy!”

But what if it happened again?

Poof went to see The Fog.

“I want to keep Cloudy close.”

The Fog said: “Listen.”

So Poof and Cloudy set off.

As they traveled, they talked about what made them happy, what made them sad, what made them unsure.

That’s when Poof realized what he was.

Curiosity.

Poof and Cloudy swirled through stars.

Somewhere, it stopped raining.

The End.
